Look to the Heavens
In what has been dark times, the beauty of the world has still been there waiting for us. As Keats wrote "A thing of beauty is a joy forever"
When life weighs heavy on my soul I look around at creation for reassurance that we can have joy. The nights are most challenging when alone and on a clear night I step into the cool night air and look up to the sky. The expanse of which is mind blowing and the beauty thrilling. Lifting my spirits and putting my worries into perspective. Keats continues "Of noble nature's, of the gloomy days.
Of all the unhealthy and o'er darkn'd ways. Made for our searching: yes, in spite of it all. Some shape of beauty moves away the pall from our darkened spirits.“
Oil, acrylic, gold and silver leaf on canvas.
